Col. of Jefferson County Kentucky. — Sir I this day paid in pursuance of your Power of attorney to James McDonald the sum of Four hundred and forty Six dollars and ⁶⁶/₁₀₀ being for the Pay of the Scouts of Jefferson County for their Services between 25^th June 1794 and 2^nd January 1795 for which sum you are held accountable for the due application thereof, agreeably to the enclosed Muster and Pay Rolls, you will therefore Pay them as soon as possible and transmit the Receipts to this Office, for this sum as well as the former sums received by John Ware your attorney for your exoneration. — I am Sir Y.^c — William Simmons —
