Sir Upon inquiry at th[is] Office I am informed that your recruiting instructi[ons] have been forwarded you — I presume that the men th[at] have returned inlisted by you were included in [undecipherable] Belsells Muster Roll, if not you will muster them ag[ree]- ably to your instructions, and from the Muster Ro[ll] make out a Payroll and transmit them to this Offi[ce] on receipt of which an examination will take place [and] the money transmitted to the Supervisor to be paid t[o] I understand that you are to remain a Middlet[own] on the recruiting service in which case you will pleas[e] observe the regulation of making out your pay rolls a[nd re]- mitting them as above directed for which purpose you a[re to] receive herewith Blank Muster and Pay rolls. — — I am Sir Y^c William Simmon[s]
