Carolina May 11. 1795 — Sir/ I have received from the Treasurer of the United States, by a Draft of the Bank of the United States, on the Office of Discount and Deposit of Charleston, the Sum of Eleven hundred and Sixty Six Dollars and Eighty Seven Cents; and agreeable to the instructions contain'd in your letter of 9^th April last, have paid the several Sums therein mentioned to Capt. Michael Hallum and have taken his Receipts for each distinct Sum, which I now herewith endorse you — I am with respect Sir Your Most Ob't Ser't.
