Sir/ I have received from the
Treasurer of the United States, by a Draft of the Bank
of the United States, on the Office of Discount and Deposit
of Charleston, the Sum of Eleven hundred and Sixty Six Dollars
and Eighty Seven Cents; and agreeable to the instructions
contain'd in your letter of 9th April last, have paid the
several Sums therein mentioned to Capt. Michael Hallum
and have taken his Receipts for each distinct Sum, which
I now herewith endorse you —
