I have just received by the hands of Doctor Phillips your Letter of the 23d Ultimo Accompanied by a Pay Roll of Lieut Muhlenburg's Artillerists & Eighty five Dollars & fifty Cents in Bank Notes being pay due them from dates of Inlistment to 31 of October 1794 Inclusive.
I have given the Doctor Duplicate Receipts for the Money which shall Apply in the manner you direct, as soon as the Detachments can be Collected some of them at present being on command.
Muster & Pay Rolls of Major Dawes & Capt Heths Detachments for January & February 1795 are herewith enclosed. The Amount paid on the former is Six hundred Dollars, on Capt Heths Seven hundred & fourteen Dollars, Total One thousand three hundred & fourteen Dollars, which Sum be pleased to place to my Credit.
