Woodforde County D. of War Accountants O[ffice] May 2^d 17[95] Sir You will receive from [your] attomey Louis Young the sum of Two hundred [twen]ty four dollars and twenty Cents, being for the pay of [a] detachment of Militias of the 11^th Regiments commanded by Lieut. Madecai Redo and Ensign John Allen, being fo[r] their services as guards for the protection of the frontiers of Shelby and Clarke Counties State of Kentucky in the Years of 1793 and 1794 for which sum you are accountable to this Office for the disbursement thereof, agreeably to the enclosed receipt rolls — You will observe that where a man makes his mark it must be witnessed by a person of respecta=bility. — as soon as you have finished this business you will please transmit the receipt rolls to this Office where the amount thereof will be passed to your Credit. — I am Sir Y^c— William Simmons
