Your letter of the 4th Ultimo is this moment received.
Prayers you on hand as Chest of Medicines consigned which shall be delivered to the order of Cole Biddle. The marks & numbers shall be taken notice of. It is probable the Chest Contains a Set of Pocket Instruments, this Shall be ascertained.
I have already delivered to the order of Cole Biddle a part of the Articles enumerated in his requisition being all that was immediately wanted.
Herewith you will find enclos a General return of Stores, Viz. Ordnance Quarter Master Hospital Stores & Cloathing commencing the first of January 1795 & ending the 31 March inclusive. An abstract of my accounts of Disbursements in Quarter Masters Department during nearly the same period is also enclosed. The amount is Three Thousand nine Hundred & Eighty three Dollars Sixteen & two Third Cents.
Cole Butler has Instructed me to lay out an Encampments for one hundred Fifty Recruits, which he has sent forward this morning
from General Morgans Encampment & which will arrive this day. Summer Cloathing is immediately wanted for all the Troops.
Three Boats are now loaded with Whiskey, Quarter Masters Stores &c &c will set off to morrow morning for Fort Washington in charge of Ensign Harris.
