Dear Sir
This will be handed you by Mr Adam Birchfield in whose favour I have drawn on you at eight days sight for one Thousand Dollars he having delivered that sum in small notes [strikethrough: undecipherable] and to Carry on the business of the Department without much difficulty —
The Waggons now Purchased are without Covers I therefore presume that of the Q. Master Genl has not taken that article into view in his Estimate for the Current - it is proper that it should yet be attended to in Philadelphia
The Marquee brought to this place by the Secretary of the Treasury, is it to be sent forwards to General Wayne or is it to be returned to Philadelphia.
