Sir
Pittsburg 24th April 1795
Your letter of the 17th Instants is now before me — I am glad to hear of the safe Arrival of the Q. M. General & his lady, your prompt Attention to my requisition is a pleasing proof of your esteem.
The Scales Beams & Stationary for the Commissary General is arrived, will go forward together with a number of others Articles in charge of Major DeButts who is Just arrived & will embark on the 27.
If a Contract is entered into for manufacturing Cordage, It is my particular wish that it be very Special indeed both with respect to time, place, quality & Dimension, I mention this because I have found by Experience that Generally Speaking there is not that punctuality in this Country that oughts to be.
I am with great esteem
Dear Sir Yours
