Philadelphia April 17. 1795. Sir, In answer to the question on the back of the Note received from you this morning, I observe, that the Pattern Shot for [underline: twenty four] and [underline: thirty two] pounders, turned under my directions, were of the following dimensions — For Twenty four pounders five inches & five hundred and forty seven decimal parts diameter — the Thirty two pounders six inches & one hundred & five decimal parts. I have one of each of the above Shot Patterns on hand — Thirty two pounder answers to the dimension; the twenty four pounder is a little larger — nearly equal to five inches and five hundred and seventy parts.
