I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 21st January 13th and 27th February to the late Accountant covering sundry Muster and Pay Rolls, together with a Statement of your transactions as Pay master, all of which shall immediately be put under examination and if right passed to your Credit.
The Bearer Major De Butts has a charge of two thousands five hundred and seventy Dollars, as pr enclosed Invoice, being for the Pay and forage of the troops at the upper Posts of the Ohio for the months of January and February 1795, for which sum you are held Accountable and will please give him Duplicate Receipts.
