D of War Office April 9. 1795 Sir The Treasurer will Remit you to be transmitted to En^s. Charles Martin at Carlisle the sum of Two hundred, thirty dollars, & ninety three Cents being [for the] pay of himself & recruits for Jany & Feby 1795— Also the further sum of Twenty Nine dollars, for the pay of Alex. Stevenson late a fife of Capt. Sloughs Company, from the 1^st of September 1793 to the 31^st of March 1795 and the [pay at his discharge] for which sums you will please take his receipts to be Accountable — This detachment being under marching orders the money is [needed] to be remitted as soon possible [as] it is expected that in all cases the money remitted from this Dep^t.
