Esq^re Accountant in the War Department] [Agent for the [undecipherable] Virginia [undecipherable] April 1795] Sir In answer to your letter of yesterday, I have to inform you, that there are Several Claims, for the Service of Militia employed on the Western frontiers, the Vouchers for which have not yet come on, and which well form a proper charge in the Account. The Pay, Rations, and Ammunition, for Cap^t. Clendinens Company, and Lieu^t. Manns. detachments, with their Scouts for 1794 — The Pay & Contingent expences of the Pay Master — The Pay of two Scouts in Lee County for a Short term — (The Settlement of which was Suspended) And Account of Postage, and the Account of my expences &c. while attending the Settlement of the Account, are all, I now recollect — And presume it will be necessary, to keep the Account open for the Admission of these, and Such others (if any) as I do not Recollect. The Letters of the Governor enclosed with this, will Shew you, how far I am Authorized to Receive Such monies, as may be paid on the Account.
