[Letter from Isaac Craig dated 20 March 1793. A.c. March 21.] Pittsburg 20^th March 1793. Dear Sir I have received your Letter of the 3^d & 13^th instant the former by the Hands of Charles Anderson the latter by Post— I am Sorry your application the Treasury for a Supply of cash was ineffectual,— without that very necessary article, public business Cannot be carried on to advantage, I am mortified that my information respecting the money in the hands of Gen^l Neville was too Late. The whole of the Articles mentioned in the extract of the Q. M^r [undecipherable]'s letter are by his orders to be provided by me. & I have Already made arrangements for that Purpose, it is however probable that I Shall draw on you in Payment of fourteen Tons of Iron.—— I have taken measures to bring the Arms & Stores from Greenesburg I was greatly deceived on my first enquiry at that place. Pray dont neglect the sell of Books requested in a former Letter. I am anxious to know the compensations intended for Services in the Commissary Department; I have already forwarded the necessary supplies to the Posts dependant on Pittsburg & hostile; the issues commence on the 1^st day of April for which I have made the Necessary arrangements.
