Dr Sir
I have been informed that a certain Geo Allen of Strasburgh in Franklin County in this State rendered an Accot to you for a horse he furnished the Comer to the Western insurgents if so be kind enough to inform me whether you have paid for the horse, with any circumstances that may lead to an ascertainment of it being the same claim as was rendered and paid by the State because I have heard suggested & I think it may probably be the same. The Acct to use is rendered in the name of Scott & Kerr & receipted by said Allan.
I am Dr Sir Your humble Ser
