The money which you sent in a 10 Chappens Straits assembly, and I have paid to M^r Wilson the amount of the militia the amount of Eight — Millings journals. I shall set off in two days for Millings, with I propose to pay the garrison of Fort Cummanes on my return I shall place in United States funds what may be due to the garrison of Wilderness & the Promisory Company M^r [undecipherable] Island Banks in the office of paymaster to the general troops, and I have typos I shall then receive from you the monies mentioned in your letter. The strongest reason that you would not be able fully for the payment of the militia. It will be impossible for me to make any settlement with the executors of Gov. Irney until I shall be informed what compensation will be allowed to him for his services — M^r Gibson the present payment will cost for three months — if he should not in that time be informed of the salary to be allowed it will return — you may imagine how much I am embarrassed with these people — and I hope you will surmount the difficulties.
