Sir, I have received your letter of the 28^th Ultimo enclosing ones address'd to the Q M Gen'l which together with sundry others shall be forwarded by the post this day. You will find herewith enclosed a general Statement of my account, together with an estimate of Expenditures arising from unavoidable objects at this post within the present Quarter Year ending the last day of the present March, also an additional estimate founded on a Requisition made by the Q: Mr Gen'l dated Fort Washington 9^th Feb'y 1795. by these several Statements you will see that a very considerable sum of money is immediately wanted in the Q M Dep't at this post — You own very Gen'l experience without doubt convinces you the advantages that will arise to the Public service by a regular supply of cash. The Q: Mr Gen'l informs me that there is a prospect of a Gen'l Treaty with the Hostile Indians some time in the next Summer at Green Ville — & the Q: Mr Gen'l expected to set off from Fort Washington for Pittsburg about the 20^th February by Water — Two hundred weight of Crawley Steel in addition to my last Requisition will be wanted for ax making, also [undecipherable: Nail and Spike] Iron is also wanted. White Lead & Spanish Brown is wanting for Painting buildings in Fort Fayettes.
