Document 1795In addition to a discussion of Eatons' pay, Howell notes that he has decided to pay of prisoners from the time they were apprehended until they are discharged, deducting the expenses incurred during their capture. The pay of deserters is to apply only to the period before their desertion and the period after they have resumed their duties.
