Treasury Department Comptrollers Office March 3^d 1795 Sir Enclosed is a receipt of John Habersham Esquire dated January 21 1795 for nine Dollars & thirty five cents, applied by him to defray the incidental and contingent expenses of the department of War. This receipt is to be annexed, as usual, to a warrant to be issued by the Secretary at War in favour of the said Habersham, who is to be charged & held accountable for the Sum therein expressed in the books of your office.
