Sir Your letter of the 11th Currt
I have receiv'd & am to request you to consider the first Return it was made by mere conjecture as by my list of 30 December more to give you some Idea of what Stores were delivered by this New Jersey troops the last being made as near as possible is the one which was intended to be considered as more accurate as possible in except to the first this number of Muskets ought to have been 806 & the late 822. The difference having been returned after the first was made this cause of which was that Stores nearly that number was in the Neighbourhood which were not handed into the publick Store but was confident would be with respect to the ballance due me, which will be in Good time. I am Sir with great Esteem
