Sir
I transmit you a List of the Invalid pen=sioners for the State of Massachusetts with my war=rant thereon for the payment of their annual pension up to the fourth of March next inclusively. —
The Secretary of the Treasury will furnish you with the necessary funds to pay said Invalids. —
I have caused advertisements to be inserted in [strikethrough: all] the public papers, that the payments will be made by the Commissioners of Loans for the respective States on the fifth of March next. —
With respect to instructions you will be pleased to adhere strictly to those given you on former dates. —
On the fifth day of June next you will be pleased to transmit to this Office a return of the Invalids who have applied, and to whom you have made payment, in which you will also note any deaths, or removals which may have taken of any of the Invalids, and of which you may be informed — You will please to pay the strictest attention to this regulation as the preservation of a regularity in the business depends in a great mea=sure thereon. —
