[T D R O January 30^th 1795] Sir, An agreement was made for one entire suit of Boston sail Cloth prior to my relinquishment of the Treasury Business for the War Department. — M^r Francis has since been advised by me to purchase as soon as practicable the remainder. The large importations of goods, and the great want of Cash at this time, appears to promise very advantageous purchases, & sums of Cash thrown from the Treasury among the Merchants of the great Sea ports at this dull & trying season, will have a favorable effect upon the commercial interest.
