The inclosed return of the troops under the immediate Command of General Wayne (that is, at all places below what are understood to be the upper posts of the Ohio, where Lieut. Col. Butler commands) will show what quantity of cloathing should be forwarded to Fort Washington. I presume it cannot fail of being amply sufficient; especially if we bring into view [strikethrough: [undecipherable]] the considerable quantities of cloathing issued heretofore to the officers of the different corps beyond the number of men actually present — according to information, particularly from the quarter master general to you.
