[Letter from Major Craig, dated 10 Jan^y 1795: (Rec^d Jan^y 17, 1795)] Pittsburg 10^th January 1795. Dear Sir I have received your letter of the 2^d Instant enclosing two thousand ^Dollars in post notes the Cachet of news papers is also Come to hands — I am extremely sorry that our mutual great & good Friend has returned from the War Department and I sincerely wish that his retirement may contribute to his felicity, one Consolation is left us Viz that hes is succeeded by a Gentleman well qualified to fill that — importaint Office — Moses Dickey a Waggoner has this day delivered a load of Clothing for which he has my rec^t & Dickey having expended all his money I found it necessary to advance him ten — Dollars for which he is to account with you on settlement of his carriage account, his rec^t is enclosed — I have sent by Dickey a Portmanteau Trunk the Property of Col A.
