Herewith you will find enclosed Muster & Pay Rolls of Capt Crawfords Detachment for the months of July & August 1794 together with a pay roll of four men employed as Spies in the Vicinity of Fort Franklin the amount of Capt Crawfords July Roll is Dolls 272.10 Cents August Rolls Dolls 285.64 Cents, the Spies roll is Dolls 167.63 Cents. Total Amount Seven hundred and nineteen Dollars & thirty seven Cents, which please to pass to my credit Capt Howes & Capt Holles Rolls I expect will be transmitted by next Post, as those Officers are now endeavouring to complete them and are anxious to be paid up to the end of the Year.
I am therefore called upon to request you to enable me to Pay off all the Troops at the upper posts of the Ohio up to the last of the present year.
