Accountants Office Sir December 29^th 1794 I have to inform you that your account has been settled, by which there appears a balance in your favor of forty seven dollars and Sixty three Cents which shall be transmitted to you by the first opportunity— The following are the only Alterations from the last Statement Viz:— The deduction of fifteen dollars which you charge for the expences of yourself and twelve men on the recruiting service from the 19^th July to the 3^d March 1793 which I find impossible to allow as you had already drawn subsistence during that time, Also the deduction of twenty dollars being your expences in Philadelphia and hire of a Man and two horses from Philadelphia to Lancaster on Public business you having been paid the same by Capt. Sam. Dean Esq^r as appears by his books in this Office— You are charged with one hundred dollars transmitted to you by the hands of George Yale the 19^th May last for the purpose of furnishing your recruits from Winchester to Pittsburgh the amount of which you may have expended thereof will be placed to your Credit as soon as your vouchers for its disbursement are received at this Office— The expences of your horse on the recruiting service as mentioned in your letter of the 21^st of August last cannot be admitted.— I am &c &c Capt.
