Lamberton Decm. 25 1794 Samuel Hodgdon Esq^r Sir I wrote you on the 21 Ins.^t in which I mentioned that I had on hand ten Publick Horses, which I would wait your order for a Sale but on the 22^d Instant there was a Brigade order issued directing them to be sold on the 24, one of the above Horse was claimed by General Mil[undecipherable] conductor of wagons, who says that he emploied him— The remaining nine was Sold at publick Sale. They were mu[ch] worn down, I have received about 800 Stands of arms with their accoutrements &c which are in good order. The confused manner in which the arms were delivered prevents me from making you a return as yet, but hope to accomodate you in a few days— I am your most Ob't Ser^vt Ste Hunt Lamberton Decm 30. 1794 Samuel Hodgdon Esq^r Sir Inclosed you have an Invoice of the Military Stores returned to me from the Jersey Line, the muskets are clean and in mostly the same order as when issued out also the Cartoch Boxes belts & Bayonets, The Horseman & [undecipherable] Tents are much worn & many of them will not be fit for any farther use, the Camp Kettles, Buckels [undecipherable] Spades, Picks are of little value— Valises, Mail Pillions, Swords, & Pistols are in good order The Artillery Stores are disposed of as in my last letter the pieces are strip'd of their Appareltus which is all put into Store, with the above mentioned articles the pieces are [undecipherable] cover, The remainder of the articles are mostly deposited in the publick Stores at Reading, Greensburg Bedford Carlisle & Forthill. The stores delivered to the Cavalry are mostly also taken home with them but am in hopes they will be forwarded soon I am in hopes to be in Town in a few days when I can
