I have received your letter of 27th Ulto respecting the settlement of your recruiting accounts which agreeably to law must previously pass the examination of the accountant to the department of War. In the time being you will therefore be pleased as soon as may be to forward your accounts & vouchers for the disbursement and expenditure of all the monies which you have received from this department.
