I received your letter of the 3 Inst. and as soon as I shall receive the Money to be remitted for Major Hunt, shall forward the same to his family Aggreeable to his request.
The duties of my appointment, as Quarter Master to the 2 Sub Legn [underline: the last two years], has placed a number of due bills, given by the Ajant & Commissarys of Wm Duer Esqr in my hands and are due to several Officers of the 2 Sub Legn some of which I have made settlement with & the others remains to be done. The failure of Wm Duer Esqr has made it doubtfull in what, the pays are to be received and for the necessary Information I have to request of you for Information in what manner I am to receive the dues on those bills in my hands. If it should come under your duties of Officer would request of you to give me the Information
