Department of War November 29. 1794 Sir, I have received your favor of the 22 instant. The troops will be under the direction of the commanding General– I am anxious to hear whether you will accept of the Office of being Commissary General as no time can be lost on that business– In case you accept you must appoint a Deputy for Fort Pitt and the upper parts of the Ohio. Have a boat in readiness to descend the Ohio with dispatches for General Wayne. I am Sir with esteem your humble servant H. Knox Secy of War Major Isaac Craig
