Sir, I now enclose you vouchers for 4325 dollars 99 cents. I have vouchers to a large amount not quite all signed, which I will be able to send to you very shortly. As I am now out of money, I have requested the hon. the Secretary of War to send to me, for contingent expenses at this garrison, six thousand dollars, on receipt of my letter. I also enclose you my replies to your remarks on my accounts of vouchers dated July 1^st & August 21^st. I hope they will prove satisfactory.
