Document 1794Detachments arrived and residing in Pittsburgh. No news on Governor Lee's on removing troops to post on Monongahela river, but presumed it would be settled before the Governor's return to Virginia.
Isaac Craig Pittsburg 22 Nov 1794 Sir Your favor of the 14 Instant is this [undecipherable] come to hand. Capt. Lyman’s Detachment is here together with twelve Dragoons brought to this post by Colonel Slough, who has left this detachment in charge of a Corporal & returned to Lancaster, both those Detachments are in Quarters here and have not yet learned from Governor Lee whether they are to continue or be removed to a post on the Monongahela, I presume that it will be determined shortly as it is said the Governor intends in a day or two to set off on his return to Virginia.
