Lyman’s Detachment is here together with twelve Dragoons brought to this post by Colonel Slough, who has left this detachment in charge of a Corporal & returned to Lancaster, both those Detachments are in Quarters here and have not yet learned from Governor Lee whether they are to continue or be removed to a post on the Monongahela, I presume that it will be determined shortly as it is said the Governor intends in a day or two to set off on his return to Virginia.
