Inclosed you have copy of a Pay roll of the Corps employed on the frontiers of North Carolina between 3d Feby and 21st August 1794 inclusive amounting to $966 [undecipherable] dollars for the due application of which sum you are held accountable agreeable to your receipt and Bond on file in this office, you will therefore proceed to discharge the same agreeably to the said roll and to lodge the evidence thereof in this Office as soon as possible — you will take a receipt from each claimant or their legal Attorney, in case of a signature not being within the payment must be authorized by a witness of known responsibility — You having already received the sum of Fifty two dollars and 25 Cents being for an allowance of 18 days pay and [undecipherable]
