Sir,
I have received yours of the 7 instant.
It is not expected that Captain Lyman's detachment will descend the Ohio this fall but remain in the vicinity of Pittsburg — Another detachment is also about marching from this City under Lieutenant Paulding which until it is expected when joined by the Recruits at Lancaster be about Seventy non Comd and privates they are also to remain at Pittsburg — Provision is to be made for them also.
It is expected however that Governor Lee will make some general arrangements respecting the Western Bounties — It will then be determined the precise arrangements which are to be made for the Continental Troops —
