I presume from the circumstance of our not having made an agreement upon my wages &c that you can have no objection to my entering another employment which comes unsolicited, I which bids fair to be more to my advantage than the terms which I expect you will propose to me. —
It is a duty I owe to myself (being but on low circumstances in life) to persue that line which tends most to my advantage though it should be less pleasing to me
