Document 1794Slough is pleased that all expresses are supposed to pass through Lancaster so he will have the opporunity to forward important letters. However, he is sorry to report that only two of the expresses have called on him on their way to the Army. He thinks it only right that Hodgdon should be aware of the disappointment of the people of Lancaster that they are being bypassed by the expresses.
