I have received your letter of the 19th Ultimo, with its several inclosures together with two packers containing Three Thousand and five Hundred and forty Dollars in current Post-notes the whole of this sum your letter instructs me to apply in pay of the Troops at the upper posts of the Ohio, being about at the time Samuel Fisher Arrived, your letter & packers containing the above mentioned notes was put into the Hands of Col. Thomas Buttler. This Acknowledgement transmitted to you by Fisher. I have inclosed a receipt for the sum. I have to request that Col. Buttles may be returns to me, on which Duplicates [undecipherable] Shall be transmitted to you.
Col. Buttles, Ensign McElvoy, & Ensign [undecipherable] exempts Shall be discharged & transmitted by next post, together with the muster Rolls of several Detachments

Fryday evening, 7 O'Clock. Post Just arrived & Your letter of the 1st instant with its enclosures is received & now before me. Doct. Vandykes and shall be discharged and transmitted to you. The detachment at Fort Randolph are paid up to the 1st of Sept 94 Rolls for augt. Sept. Oct. Novem.t & Decemr. 1793 & for Jan.y Feb.y & march 1794. were transmitted to you on the 15th of may 1794. and Rolls for April May June & July are herewith enclosed The errors shall be strictly attended to, & I expect to be able to convince you the are not so great as the now appear.
