Sir,
[undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] I have received your letter of the 15th ultimo, with its several enclosures, together with two packets containing Three thousand five Hundred and forty Dollars in current Post notes; the whole of this sum your letter instructs me to apply as pay of the Troops at the upper posts of the Ohio, being absent at the time Samuel Fisher Arrived, Your letter & Packets containing the above mentioned notes was put into the Hands of Colo Thomas Butler, This acknowledgement transmitted to you by Fisher. I have enclosed a receipt for that sum, & have to request that Colo Butlers may be returned to me, on which Duplicates of mine shall be transmitted to you.
Colo Butler, Ensign [undecipherable: probable reading McCleary], & Ensign Jero' accounts Shall be discharged & transmitted by next post, together with the Muster & Pay rolls of several Detachments.

Fryday evening, 7 O'Clock. Post Just arrived & Your letter of the 1st instant with its enclosures is received & now before me, Doct. Vandykes act shall be discharged and transmitted to you. The detachment at Fort Randolph are paid up to the 1st of Septr 94 Rolls for augt Sept. Oct. Novemt & Decemt 1793 & for Jany Feby & march 1794. were transmitted to You on the 15th of May 1794, and Rolls for April May June & July are herewith enclosed. The errors shall be strictly attended to, & I expect to be able to convince you they are not so great as the now appear.
