No 41 War Department Accountants Office Oct. 31 1794 Sir I have received your letter of 24 in. with muster & pay rolls for the month of June 1794 of Capt. Howes detachment. I observe in making up the pay [missing] the men, it frequently occurs that there are charged parts of [*ments} which are inadmissible & in future must be struck off the rolls.
No rolls having been transmitted for the detachment at the post at Wheeling, wish to be informed if they are paid, & if so please to forward the papers. I enclose a list of errors in the pay rolls transmitted to which I request your attention. I also inclose a State of Doct. Thomas Vandykes accounts, the balance you will discharge & transmit his rec’t on the acct as your voucher, hereafter he may paid by you. I am with respect Sir Your obdt Servt.
