I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 18th instant with inclosed Pay Roll, and that I have received of Nicholas Fish Capt Supervisor. Thirty two dollars & thirty three cents. being the ballance of my pay from 8th June to 30th September, And also one hundred Ninety seven dollars & forty cents, for the pay of the [strikethrough: recruiting] from dates of enlistments to the 30th September 1794. inclusive, for which I have given triplicate receipts to be distributed as directed.
