Mr Ames the Superintendant of the Armourers is at Springfield he wishes to have a house repaired for him and his famerly to live in. you may remember The house you ordered to be finished for me to live in. when Mr Bliss was Commissary of Military Stores The order was not comply'd with and the house remaines unfinished to this day. he thinks if the Building was put in repairs it would answer for him I told him I could do nothing about it till I had orders from you respecting it. he desired me to write about it [blot] it is necessary The house should have some repaires to keep it from going to de cay
