Sir,
I request that you will immediately have packed up one hundred Suits of infantry clothing and one hundred suits of Artillery Clothing, excepting Linen Overalls in order to be transported to Carlisle or some other place of recruiting rendezvous on the road to Pittsburg. It will be well to have the Clothing put up in four separate packages. The address of the whole to be to Col. Mentges. As soon as the Clothing is ready for transportation you will receive further orders for its ultimate destination.
