I have received your letter of the 15 instant, and thank you for your attention in apprehending R. Lewman the deserter.
I request that he may be sent down the river, by the first safe opportunity, in under guard, to the care of the commanding Officer at Fort Washington, to be escorted from thence to the head quarters of Major General Wayne.
