[endorsement: ...copy of a [undecipherable] to major [undecipherable] [undecipherable] Monroe — 10^th [undecipherable] 1794 — [undecipherable]] My dear Sir, Camp in the Vicinity of the [undecipherable] of the Miami Villages 10^th Oct^r I have the honor to transmit you by this conveyance a duplicate of my Letter of the 3^rd of August since [undecipherable] nothing notable hath occured, accept it may be the [undecipherable] & rapid declination of the Army, in the the Essentials of efficient operation; In the Letter I omitted a communication, which it was my duty & my intention to have made to you, once which I now beg leave to trespass on your attention.
