Sir The enclosed papers contain all the information I have received worth communicating from the Cherokees since writing you by M^r Allison on the 26^th September — For many days past I have hourly been in expectation of an Express from Cumberland, nor have I heard of the Creeks and Cherokees since they passed the Tennessee as mentioned in the letter of the Breath and Charley and by John Bogon on the 17^th of September. The militia are turning out with unusual alacrity, Some of them have made their appearance from the upper counties and the whole number called for, will be here by Saturday night.
