Applications to view the Pattern Clothing for the general Contract for 1795 are very frequent at this Office — No pattern Clothing whatever, except Shoes, has been sent here, since those for the Artillery, which were immediately forwarded to New York, where a Contract is made for them, and for which purchas[undecipherable: purchase?] [undecipherable] was specially desired. I have written for the [undecipherable] sent hither. — [undecipherable] does not appear on enquiry that there any patterns for the general Contract at the War Office, the time approaches at which the business is to be closed.
