Lamberton 25 [undecipherable: October?] 1794 Sir I discover that Six Boxes of Arms more than was ordered to Reading have been Sent to that Place in consequence of which that number will be Short of those directed to Carlisle — which I will thank you to forward, otherwise some inconvenience may arise — I am Sir in haste Your most humble Servant Col't Clement Biddle Reading — Lamberton Octo'r 7^th 1794. Sir Major Hunt marched from this place this day and I assure you that Should what his People are able to do in the Business you have committed to his care which I have done those Would Give General Satisfaction, he also advis'd that in furnishing Teams for the Service he was oblig'd to advance money to each of Them for Their Support on the Road, & engage to pay the remainder of Their wages here upon Their return. I observe by your favour of the 21 Ins't and as by General [undecipherable] of the 21^st Novem'r that [undecipherable] is to take Charge of the Military now in possession of the Jersey Militia; the Tents Arms &c. are all not in the form we have heretofore & cant be returned to Store without dry & Cleaning, I am in hopes that there will be a Brigade order to morrow to have the Guns &c. brought to Cleanliness after which [undecipherable] having them put out on [boxes?] that they were taken from & if you think best can have them Called, [undecipherable] your Pieces [undecipherable] with one [Harvey?]. I have [undecipherable] my [undecipherable] where they will be let dry. I hope in a few days to have it in my power to make you an estimate of [undecipherable] return there is ten Publick Horses that came with the Jersey.
