Sir,
I have had the pleasure of sending a letter to you not long ago, concerning [undecipherable] the lot on which the Public Store stands. those buisness are over now. not only the lot are sold, but the Store it self, for Eight hundred & twenty three pounds, all upon this condition, that I shall keep possession of it still, until the first day of May next, [undecipherable] time I shall remove the Public Store. [undecipherable] took place on the 15 instant, I would wish now dear Sir, that this letter should be communicated to the honorable the Secretary of War, who will I dare say, act as he thinks proper, on the occasion and as I wish to avoid any reproach in the line of my duty. I thought it was necessary to make it known to the hon. the Secretary of War through you
