R.P.O. 401810.] War Department Sept 24. 1794 Sir The Secretary of the Treasury directs me to inform you, that he has requested M^r Francis, this day, to procure a quantity of hospital stores, and two packages containing Chirurgical instruments for the militia Army; and which are to be delivered to you. When they shall have been received, the Secretary requests, that all the hospital stores, & the [underline: smallest] package of Chirurgical instruments may be immediately transported to Carlisle — and that the largest package of Instruments be forwarded to Fort Cumberland — The hospital Stores for the Maryland & Virginia Militia will be furnished by the supervisors in those States.
