R.P.O.401310.] War department September 16. 1794 Sir, Colonel Mentges the Inspector of the Militia assembling at Trenton in New Jersey has represented in his letter of the 14. instant that there is a deficiency of Horsemens and Common Tents for the accommodation of the Jersey detachment. The Secretary of the Treasury requests that an immediate supply, if not already gone forward, may be sent to Trenton, and that you will not forget to have pistol Cartridges of different Calibres and also Musket Cartridges of 16, 18. and 21 forwarded to the same place, agreeably to the verbal directions given to you by him this day. — Please to inform the Sec^y of the Treasury how many Chefts or Boxes of Medicines are in Store; and also what quantity of hospital Stores — I am Sir, very respectfully, Your obedient Servant Samuel Hodgdon Esq^r [undecipherable: probable reading D.
