[Letter from Wm. Heth, Affairs, April 6, 1794, recd.] [Received from] New London Sept^r 13^th 1794 Arrived at this place on the 9^th Inst. and was preparing to pay the workmen &c when I received your favor of the 2^d Ultimo Covered by a receipt from Colo Farmington for all the Military Stores Here, afd for services at this Post, with directions to forward them to Winchester without delay — my time has been chiefly engaged since in a examining into the State of the Stores and procuring Waggons to forward them to their destination — Than this day Hartily prepared the inclosed papers being unwilling to loose a safe Opportunity, which Offers of conveying Money from Philadelphia to this place, and will thank you Sir to buy the whole of the clame Viz the Estimates, pay roll of the Guard, and Ration Account amounting to One thousand Thirty eight dollars 83 Cents to the bearer Mr Alexander Patrcich Who is Authorized, to give a receipt for it. Inclosed you will please receive also a Return of the Ammo repaired in the Month of August — The Blade Mill will be in Motion as soon as I can receive some shapes for the Wheels, which I bought in Richmond I expect them daily — As soon as possible I will adjust the several Accounts, at the Post and transmit your Vouchers for the expence= =ture of the Money which I have received On my Return I found that James Stroule had left the Armoury, and three were discharged from Washington for perpetual drunkeness.
