Sir
I have your two favours of the 11 current by which I am instructed to furnish to the New Jersey Militia now assembling What Milatary Stores & other things they may want during their Stay at this post. This business I can very conveniently undertake as all those Stores &c are in my Custody I shall begin to Issue out arms &c to morrow; you may rely on the strictest Attention to your Orders in transacting the business in this place if I should be called from home [strikethrough: on a different] which my happen [strikethrough: in dā] as I am appointed to the Command of one of the Battallions of Malitia of this State [undecipherable] has Promised to superintend that Business & see that it is properly done during my absence. With Respect to my undertaking to procure transportation & Providing forage &c I dont think I could undertake as I must March in the Army in the Capacity before Mentioned
